1. Get Started!
The first thing you should do to join the site is register. To do that locate the link on the right side of the page, at the top. Every day you'll be able to login through there as well once you create a profile. You only need one per person, and most people name their account after their first character they plan on creating, but you're free to go by whatever you'd like to!
Once you've created your profile and confirmed your email, go to the top left and find the "profile" button. From there edit your profile to your liking. You can change your display name, avatar, signature, and more! If you come to the forums with that all filled out people will appreciate your dedication already!
2. Important Links
At first, it seems everything needs to be glanced at and can be a little overwhelming at first. Once you understand the plotline and the forums however, you'll find our site is very easy to slip into and begin role playing. The first thing you'll want to make sure you go over however is the rules and guides forum. this has all of your important links inside about everything and anything you'd need to know about the site right off the bat.
If you can't find what you need in there, post in the help board or in the suggestions board.
Lastly, remember to routinely check up on the announcements board. This will keep you up to date on any important site or plot changes. You do not want to be caught off guard!
3. Create a Character
The best way to get right into the community is by creating your first character. To start you'll want to check out our record book and see what characters are around. For starting out you should create a character that will have lots of friends and others to interact with to make plotting easier for you at the beginning. Then after you can start creating the more rare characters.
You should also look at the adoptables forum as members are only allowed ten characters total as of right now. If you adopt from another member, it lets them create another character AND the character you adopted doesn't count towards your ten character count. That way from the beginning you can have a character that won't hurt your count as you're still learning about the place. You may also get a more rare character from there!
Once you create your character, make sure to tag Anastasia to check out your post, but they will regularly check at least daily to accept you. Once you're accepted, you're free to go to the forums and make your first post, or reply to someone else's!
4. Making Friends
The best way to make friends is to post frequently in the shoutbox. As of currently we do not have a discord, but may get one in the future! It is also recommended to post in the first steps board and introduce yourself there! Eventually if you are active and engaged you will find friends, especially once you start roleplaying and plotting with others! If you can't manage to find people to role play after all that, you can always go to our plotting board and post there.
